Movie review: G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Wednesday went to Jurong Point in the afternoon for a movie with baba and aiyaa! Planned to watch this movie with the whole family... turn out xiaomei and mama don't feel like seeing it! lolx

We watched the 2pm slot... enough time for us to have lunch, alittle food shopping before the movie start ^__^

An elite military unit comprised of special operatives known as G.I. Joe, operating out of The Pit, takes on an evil organization led by a notorious arms dealer.

I like it!!! Full of actions, excitment and comedy! lolx

This movie have the same feel of "Star wars" ... You know the leader of the bad guys were good guys in the beginning of the stories!!!!!

And with charaters like Snake eyes and Storm shadow... it so hard not to think about Star wars(yes yes, I know... the stories were different!! But it just the tiny similarities that reminds me of it! lolx)

Channing Tatum(as Duke).. he's was so sexy in that tight suit!!! Yummy~ Great acting... I don't see the guy in "She's the man" here... Great performace!!!!

Byung-hun Lee(as Storm Shadow) look extra sexy in this movie... I always find that his eyes look weird in korean movies... but his eyes look so cute in this movie! lolx (with wearing just white make him more of a prince rather than a bad guy!)

I was so curious about Snake Eyes.. but towards the end they never reveal his face.. so I do a little searching at IMDB and found out that Ray Park was snake eyes!! Hmmm... interesting.. sexy body with a goofy face! lolx (I wanna see him without the mask in the next movie ^__^)

Orphan 2009


Synopsis fr IMDB::
A husband and wife who recently lost their baby adopt a 9-year-old girl who is not nearly as innocent as she claims to be.





Before I watched this movie, I have 3 conclusions::
1) If this was a ghost movie- The little orphan girl was being processed by ghost.
2) If this was a sci-fi movie- Voodoos!! Souls exchanging (kinda like skeleton key)
3) If this was just a normal horror movie- than the little girl is not a girl but an adult!
(And one of my guesses was true(not going to say which one... cos I don't wanna spoil the excitment for those who haven't watch!!)

Nothing surprising when you watched too many horror movies and kinda knew every possiblity for the ending!! I need something fresh and different! lolx But for someone who don't, this is pretty interesting movie!

Take xiaomei for an example:: We always jokes about she having a mental peoples magnet because met ALOT of somewhat "crazy" ppls.!! And after she finished this movie... it keep haunting her... lolx..

She say this might actually happen to her (on her high percentage of meeting crazy peoples!!!) And this was the reason she find this movie scary!! lolx

吓倒笑(Where got ghost?) (


This is a local movie by our local comedy king's Jack Neo(as what they say la... lolx... use to watched his show when I was little... it's funny at that time and kinda get more and more dragful when I grow up! (Maybe his humous too old school for me? I never really get local joke, I find it abit flat sometimes! lolx

Anyway this movie was divided in 3 segments "Roadside Got Ghost", "Forest Got Ghost" and "House Got Ghost".

All 3 movies were really simple... tales telling about dos and don'ts on chinese culture and ghosts(well, if you into ghost related movies and you are chinese, the custom about respect the deads are all basic and I bet you knew about it already.)

Nothing special about this movie, I feel that the plots were really old, go watch some Hongkong early 90s horror movies... you get more interesting stories compare to this!

The only funny part where alot of locals like about this movie were the local humous(which I don't really like). I only laugh at the part where the boss ask his posse why the oranges were tasteless... and his reply "It's sugarfree" lolx...

Movie Review : The terminators

The terminators


This movie suck BIG TIME... just the first few minutes into the movie.. I already got bored!!! The story just happened out of nowhere... messy concept... and not really interesting at all!!! (I lazy to copy the synopsis here.... and I don't want you(everyone who read my blog) to see this movie (Just forget that I mention about it!)

OH boy... what worse was that the charaters wre not even nice to look at(their acting sucks too)! And what happened to Jeremy London?!?!? He use to be cute (or is his brother?)

At first I thought this is the 4th movie of Terminator and felt cheated when I watching it(cos I love all the past 3 movies!) then I found out that this was another movie (a TV movie... totally not related to the "Terminator" movie saga.. just using the robots concept!) Phew~ I was so relief! lolx... (I should search about this movie before watching... I wasted my 90mins watching craps!)

This movie have a very interesting plots and casts! Sharon Stone, Dennis Quaid, Juliette Lewis and (the young)Kristen Stewart.

Great Acting, nice storylines... but the movie didn't end well for me(I don't like the ending... but it still nice and abit exciting movie to see on a relaxing/boring afternoon ^__^

Another (kinda) sci-fi movie by Nicolas Cage
I like it when the movie is about future, prediction, aliens(?), and apocalypse.
I love this movie... but I hate the ending (It just sad and weird, I won't say more don't wanna spoil the excitments!!!)

Plenty of suspense, very interesting with all the numbers and dates (which remind me abit of the Ghost Whisperers on the numbers parts.. not the whole story concept!)

Anyway... this movie by Nicolas Cage was better then his other movie Next(which having the same gene on sci-fi/prediction)

This is a cute, cheesy, funny and fun movie to watch!! I was so loving it!! HAhahhahaha
Npthing much to say cos the synopsis say it all(most of it)... just relax and enjoy this cute comedy!! ^__^

I thought it would be interesting to see Hannah on Big screen which more real life setting, beautiful scenery rating then studio setting we always saw in the Disney series.

Yes.. even thought the scenery were beautiful and Hannah as always living her both world with abit of struggling... This movie have no surprising plots, nothing too funny and cute(like the series)... so I still prefer the short series I got to see every week on disney channel!

This movie is showing on cinema (they sell tickets for it!) and it feel more like a weekday/TV movie to me...

Where the Wizards of waverly Place was a Disney TV movie(from just the trailer of the movie)... it look way more interesting!!! (I just don't get it! lolx) Anyway, I can't wait to see WOWP on Disney Channel... I think it would be airing around Sept or Oct!

A cute children movie (I like children movies... hahaa)

Anway.. Dwayne Johnson, as always so cute in the movie!(His wide smile are so dazzling! lolx)

The ending was cute! hahahhaa... but I felt that they should explain more.. anyway, it a kids movies... so I think it quite ok... with the possiblitily of a 2nd movie!

A cab driving trying to help the 2 aliens to completed a mission and saving the world ^__^
(I donno why, there are so many saving the world movies out around the same time! hahaha)

I like it! lolx.. yes this is a cheesy movie.. but very cute and interesting(I can totally related to her when she say how she feel when she walk into a store... yes... lolx... I guess I have more willpower then her(I believe alot of ppls do)... wahahahha

The only weakness was that.... not enough romance story between the leading charaters(I want more... lolx)

A fun movie to watch(infact, I already watched it twice and I didn't get bored! Teehee... watch it again with xiaomei when she say she wanna see!

He heads home, searches out Millie, invites her to travel with him, and only later realizes that Roland and his crew are seriously deadly. Is everyone close to David in danger?

I like the concept of this movie... very interesting... the movie was not boring and quite exciting... but they kinda never explain why they can transport themselves.

Are they born with the power? The history of their transpoting?

And why  were called "The Jumpers" and why Paladins wanna kill jumpers?

It's kinda messy when they never explains clearly about the charaters... they just show David found out that he can transport himself to anywhere he want, left home, rob bank, few years later when he still enjoying his freedom life and then the hunters trying to kill him (and all those that have the same power).. that it!!!

This movie don't feel completed at all! I feel like I was watching this movie in the middle... lolx)

Again, got nothing much to say... cos the synopsis say it all (mostly).

I like it... it's kinda like a fairytales like movie ^__^ very sweet, cute, funny and warm .. lolx.

The storyline was cute.. suitable for childrens... and I LOVE IT (remember I love childrens/teens movies!!!)

James McAvoy are so cute in the movie... very laidback look!! NO bad... I prefer this look then the clean cut look in Wanted! And not forgetting Reese Witherspoon, she's so beautiful in the movie!!! <3<3

And 10/10 for the pretty and beautiful clothing and setting!
