Movie Review : Colombiana

Attended the Colombiana's movie premiere at Vivo City yesterday.

Synopsis (source)

In the action film Colombiana, Zoe Saldana plays Cataleya, a young woman who has grown up to be an assassin after witnessing the murder of her parents as a child. Turning herself into a professional killer and working for her uncle, she remains focused on her ultimate goal: to hunt down and get revenge on the mobster responsible for her parents' deaths.

Sexy Michael Vartan (I always remember him as the cute teacher from "Never Been Kissed" and Richard's son in "FRIENDS")

The movie was pretty action packed from the beginning to the end.. it's about a little girl(10yrs old) witnessing her parents being killed by the mafia and fighting her life trying to escape from them (applause to good escaping skill, keeping herself head up and not cry until she was "really" safe!). She then decided to be a killer... preparing herself for revenge!

Even thought the movie move on with a exciting and fast pace... I still find some scenes were pretty extra, you know trying to mix in a little romance and it fail badly! Well, I don't mind seeing the sexy Michael Vartan in action.. just hope that the structure of the plot could run abit smoother and more believable.(lolx)

Anyway, it's an exciting movie to watch.

My Rating: 7.9/10
I like the action and the plots... but some scenes just look odd or not too convincing!(lolx)

It Real Steel, not Iron *ahem* Man

 

Huge Jackman is a really charming man, have been charmed by him thru various of his romance flicks (Kate & Leopold, Someone Like You...). Oh and not forgetting the oooooh so sexy Wolverine on X-Men Origins: Wolverine. And now, he's starring in Real Steel!! (oooh.. anyone sexy role~)

I can't wait to see this movie... I love sexy man in action movie(beside romance flick) ::b

Hmm... if you ask me, "What is the main function that my Robot must have and why"?
My answer would be... He must be able to "FLY".. so that he can take me to anywhere I wanna go in Singapore to avoid our crazy traffic!! Kekekkee :b I'm a simple gal.. I dont need fancy stuff... since I don't get into troubles(I think). 
And since it a robot.. it should be strong enough to protect me... so asking it to be strong and protective would be too extra!!(Right?!?!?!?!)

Movie Review : Contagion

Attended the Gala Premiere of Contagion with my parents and sister(except xiaomei- she have to work and I'm 1 ticket short too! lolx) @ VivoCity Golden Village. (Tickets from Fmag and TheNewpaper)

Normally I don't pay much attention on the display of the surrounding, but this time, GV did it quite well... Or maybe, I was there too early so that I got to look around?!?!(lolx)

They also provided us with a small goodies bag which related to the movie!

Synopsis from IMDB:

Soon after her return from a business trip to Hong Kong, Beth Emhoff dies from what is a flu or some other type of infection. Her young son dies a few days later. Her husband Mitch however seems immune. Thus begins the spread of a deadly infection. For doctors and administrators at the U.S. Center for Disease Control, several days pass before anyone realizes the extent or gravity of this new infection. They must first identify the type of virus in question and then find a means of combating it, a process that will likely take several months. As the contagion spreads to millions of people worldwide, societal order begins to break down as people panic.

 

Although the virus/infection(in the movie) spread like rocket but the pace of the movie move like a snail!! It's not boring type of slow... more of an informative kinds of slow (alot of talking!!!)

The concept of the movie serve like a warning on how contagious a virus would be and at the same time teaches us how to deal with this kind of situation if **touch wood** somethings like that happen in the future, we will roughly know how to deal with it. (This virus in this movie is a combination of Sars and H1N1)

Well, I enjoyed the movie... it's scary, not becos of the actions (lolx)

My rating: 7.9/10

Manman is getting Bigger!

She has become much easy to control as compare to the first few weeks.. but still need alot of time to train her and showing her that ... "there is always foods around" She still eat like there's no tomorrow.. but so far not as bad as before. Can't wait for the day to arrive.....
