Singapore Sentosa 4D AdventureLand is proud to announce the launch of its new 4-D Movie Experience "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island". This interactive 4-D experience, developed by SimEx Lwerks under license from Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will open its doors to visitors officially on 22nd May 2013 at Southeast Asia's first four dimensional theatre located at the Imbiah Lookout in Sentosa.
This new 4D movie features the all-star cast from the 2012 released Hollywood blockbuster - "Journey 2 : The Mysterious Island" from Warner Bros. Pictures. SimEx Iwerks converted the movie, which stars Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), Michael Caine, Luis Guzman, Josh Hutcherson and Vanessa Hudgens, into 4-D format, exclusively for screening at the Sentosa 4D AdventureLand. Singapore will be the first in Southeast Asia to show Journey 2 : The Mysterious Island in 4-D! Although this is not a full length movie, but I can dream right? Maybe in the near future(Just like 3D) we will have tons of
full length 4D movies ^_^ (I just keep on hoping!!)

"Extreme Log Ride" 4-D motion-simulated, where we will be riding through ravines and down valleys in a virtual "roller coaster". The first in Southeast Asia.
"Desperados " The first 4-D interactive shoot-out game in Asia. Grab a motion-sensor pistol, aim and fire as you engage in a competitive run for the top sheriff honour.

On Thursday, I have a makeover session in the morning and a beauty event in the evening, so I ask Ming whether she wanna meet me early (like 7hrs early.. lolx) ... and she told me she wanna see me makeover and help me take pics!!!! 真是两肋插刀的好死党.. (for me I rather sleep~ wahahahaha... nah~ I be there for you too la "kiss kiss")
Makeover at 11am to 12 plus
Evening event at 7pm
So... we have around 7 hours to spare and Ming suggest to catch a movie!
And we did.... we see "Beautiful Creatures"
Not a bad movie... but we expected abit too much from it! lolx
When I first saw the poster...
I thought it some lame comedy and the trailer proof me wrong! lolx
(See for yourself... it just spell "comedy" don't you think? hahahaa)
I loving this ever changing living room~
Storyline:: Ethan longs to escape his small Southern town. He meets a mysterious new
girl, Lena. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective
families, their history and their town.
Personally, I donno what to expect from this movie... beside the point that this was a "witch" fantasy type of movie... the trailer was really interesting but that's about it (They spoiled the excitment by showing all the exciting scenes! lolx)
The "curse" and secretive of the movie still pretty entertaining!
I say this is a slightly above average fantasy movie... don't expect too much and you will enjoy quite a bit from this cute little movie.
The romance part was pretty ok (sweet~ but ok) lolx... not cheesy enough for me!!!
I love overrated over-the-top kind of cheesy romance (Hahahhaa... I very cheesy)

“Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since.
Personally I never read any of the Marvel's comics before... except watched abit of the good old fashion 2D cartoons on kid channels when I'm little! But I totally have no recalls of any of the storys(lolx) But I did follow all the movies!!
If asking me to choose my fave avengers... it would be either Thor or Captain America... cos they look normal are gorgeous, hot, cute and manly enough.
I do like Iron Man... but, but, but.. I don't know~ lolx
Civil War vet John Carter is transplanted to Mars, where he discovers a lush, wildly diverse planet whose main inhabitants are 12-foot tall green barbarians. Finding himself a prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter Dejah Thoris, Princess of Helium, who is in desperate need of a savior. Written by IMDb Editors
lolx at "...You are ugly..."
If one day, I found myself waking up on Mars... I think I will go crazy!!!! What, Why, Who... and huh?!?! Why MEEeeeeee!!!!!
Then I will start to think about how to live on, like finding foods and trying to get back to earth. Or try to blend in?? Hehhh... that would be crazy cos I'm more likly to be killed by aliens(if there are aliens la)!!!
But at the same time, it will be kinda cool being able to have this kind of adventure!!! It's feel kinda magical... maybe it's my destiny to have this kind of chance to be able to experiences different kind of "lifestyle".
Anyway, I'm pretty excited about this movie.... the action and the storyline were kinda interesting!

Synopsis (Source: asianmediawiki) Yukari Hayasaka (Keiko Kitagawa) is a high school student who has become tired of her life of constant schooling. She then comes across a group of student fashion designers in need of a model for their "Paradise Kiss" clothing label. Yukari knows nothing about the fashion world and is taken back by the group's eccentric ways, but she soon comes to admire their free thinking ways and ability to pursue their dreams with a one track mind...
This movie was base on the popular manga (comic)... and the cinematography was so dreamy. It pretty basic/normal scenery... but the tone was really dreamy, and all the blink and fashion.... NICE.
A romance movie which feel like a drama which tell you how to live your life by making your own decision and try not to blame or push it to others because you trying to please them.
I donno why, I love it... thought the storylines were very simple and the actress acting was abit off... but the chemistry of the fashion, dreamy setting, pretty boys.. it clicks... well atleast it click on me! lolx
It's a fun and relaxing movie to see <3 and Osamu Mukai is such an eye candy (Love his acting in his previous Japanese dramas - Bambino! and (especially) Atashinchi no Danshi(he was oh so dreamy in the cute drama... even thought he's not really the leading actor)
My Rating: 8.5 / 10
(High for the fashion, good quality plots and pretty boys)
Attended the preview screening of action-comedy - Tower Heist (tickets provided by UIP Singapore and omy.sg ) on Tuesday 1st November 2011 @ The Cathey.
Synopsis
Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy lead an all-star cast in Tower Heist, a comedy caper about working stiffs who seek revenge on the Wall Street swindler who stiffed them. After the workers at a luxury Central Park condominium discover the penthouse billionaire has stolen their retirement, they plot the ultimate revenge: a heist to reclaim what he took from them.
Queens native Josh Kovacs (Stiller) has managed one of the most luxurious and well-secured residences in New York City for more than a decade. Under his watchful eye, nothing goes undetected. In the swankiest unit atop Josh’s building, Wall Street titan Arthur Shaw (Alan Alda) is under house arrest after being caught stealing two billion from his investors. The hardest hit among those he defrauded? The tower staffers whose pensions he was entrusted to manage.
With only days before Arthur gets away with the perfect crime, Josh’s crew turns to petty crook Slide (Murphy) to plan the nearly impossible…to steal what they are sure is hidden in Arthur’s guarded condo. Though amateurs, these rookie thieves know the building better than anyone. Turns out they’ve been casing the place for years, they just didn’t know it.
[Sub to ClevverMovies's Channel on Youtube -they always update trailers of up and coming movies)
When I enter the cinema, I didnt have high expectation on the movie, I've only watched one of the trailer on Youtube (the above one).. and I knew I shouldn't think too much on the plots or anythings... just sit back and relax.
It's a comedy and the casts (Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy and Matthew Broderick) just spell "FUNNY" in all way!! ^.~
I really enjoy Eddie Murphy comedic acting/action... Ben Stiller weird sense of humour and Matthew Broderick "blur expression" kinda of acting. (Remember him in The Stepford Wives, Inspector Gadget(one of my fave) Election, Godzilla(fave), Addicted to Love(fave), The Cable Guy, Ferris Bueller's Day Off (fave) and ects.. all have that cute and funny "blur expression")
The chemistry between the casts were really good, especially Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller(I would love to see them acting together again in future projects)... they doesn't feel/look odd or let you think that they are just "acting".
The whole movie feel like a simple and funnier version of Leverage and Ocean's eleven... it's totally fun to see!!
But I do felt that some of the plots seem kinda impossible in real life...
For examples:: How come the elevator can support the weight of a solid gold car?? Or the cable from the swing-stage scaffolds doesn't break off from that heavy soild gold car?? Well... it's a funny movie, I bet if they fell off from thirty floors they will survive too(lolx)
Anyway, this was an entertaining movie, I really enjoyed it.. it's funny, interesting[though not really that original- but still interesting enough (like I never get sick of "Cinderella" type of plot)] and abit of suspension.
My fave scene would be the Silky Terrier part... lolx... cuteness max! <3
My Rating: 8/10
Tower Heist start showing in Cinema yesterday (03 November 2011)
Attended the preview screening of dance movie, FOOTLOOSE (tickets provided by UIP Singapore and omy.sg ) on Monday 24th Oct 2011.
Cast: Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough, Andie MacDowell and Dennis Quaid
Synopsis:: Writer/Director Craig Brewer delivers a new take of the beloved 1984 classic film, “Footloose.” Ren MacCormack (played by newcomer Kenny Wormald) is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont’s local council men and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore (Dennis Quaid) responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing for age below 18. Not one to bow to the status quo, Ren challenges the ban, revitalizing the town and falling in love with the minister’s troubled daughter Ariel (Julianne Hough) in the process.
I love the original movie, although... I've watched it when I'm around 10 or 12(Can't remember much about the storylines now except Kevin Bacon's sexy dance and skinny legs).
Both top and bottem pics were from the Original Footloose.
Back then I simply love 80s teen movies (John Cusack is the pretty boy prince charming lead actor in all those teen movies!! lolx).
Why I love 80s? Beside all those classic retro musics... they have wonderful teen movies!! Loving the chessy, cute plotlines, colorful fashion and crazy hair styles!! Kekekee... Anyway, I'm a dance movies freak(beside romance and horror), from Dirty Dancing, Flash Dance, Strictly Ballroom(MY top fave), Saturday Night Fever and ects ...
OK, back to Footloose::: I remember 80s teen movies always have simple but meaningful plot lines and dialogues. (But it does sound abit coarse and flat sometimes, especially the original Footloose) ... BUT the remakes, they edit, polished and mades those dialoques sound so smooth and funny!! (It makes much sense as compare to the original version.)
Beside the structure of the remake was much smoother and well connected as compare to the original (cos I remember some scenes were pretty odd and jumping around in the original) and it also did a good jobs at developing the "romance" between the leads.
If you are a fan of the original Footloose, you will find this remake "almost" identical.. from funny taglines, quotes, car, some of the "action" scenes and even the sidekick "Willard"(played byMiles Teller(remake) and Chris Penn(original)) look almost similar too!(lolx)
It's like taking old script, polish it and then film it! Don't get me wrong, I love the remake... they did a great job at making a wonderful movie to a much better one!!!! Although, I still prefer Kevin Bacon's sexy dance's moves(lolx) ... But I like the new female lead "Julianne Hough".
I love the tone and the cinematography of the remake...
I know it's pretty rare that towns have forbidden public dancing by law in US... But it does, in 1980, People Magazine ran a story about students at Elmore City High School in Elmore City, Oklahoma, who had to lobby the town's and school's officials for permission to have a prom. They were successful, and their prom was the first legal public dance in Elmore City since the town's 1861 founding. The plot of both this movie and its source, 1984's Footloose, were loosely based on Elmore City's story. [source]
I know... the movie doesn't have much depth, but this is a teen movie... it's suppose to be simple and cheesy!
My Rating: 8/10
I love the comedy scenes.. I was LOL~ing and it's does help to cheer me up abit and temporary forget the stuff that was stressing about!
In the action film Colombiana, Zoe Saldana plays Cataleya, a young woman who has grown up to be an assassin after witnessing the murder of her parents as a child. Turning herself into a professional killer and working for her uncle, she remains focused on her ultimate goal: to hunt down and get revenge on the mobster responsible for her parents' deaths.
The movie was pretty action packed from the beginning to the end.. it's about a little girl(10yrs old) witnessing her parents being killed by the mafia and fighting her life trying to escape from them (applause to good escaping skill, keeping herself head up and not cry until she was "really" safe!). She then decided to be a killer... preparing herself for revenge!
Even thought the movie move on with a exciting and fast pace... I still find some scenes were pretty extra, you know trying to mix in a little romance and it fail badly! Well, I don't mind seeing the sexy Michael Vartan in action.. just hope that the structure of the plot could run abit smoother and more believable.(lolx)
Anyway, it's an exciting movie to watch.
My Rating: 7.9/10 I like the action and the plots... but some scenes just look odd or not too convincing!(lolx)
